Capy is Sad
Where in the heck are all of you? I am sad that you haven't blogged in a while...
i was thinking the same thing! you are the only one that can make actual blog posts so you have to be the conversation starter. duh.
by the way, the next howell home game that isnt homecoming is on the fifth of october. there is also one on the nineteenth of october. so come to both!
Sorry, but I certainly cant' come to the 19th...I get married the next day! I will think about the 5th though. I have my "trial" run on my hair the following morning in Grand Haven, but maybe I could come, have some din with D and go to the game, then head home...we'll see.
im in love w/ ms capy. im coming, and im gonna be the guy that says "i do!" when the priest says "should anyone regret these two being wed" or whatever...
nothing new really, getting ready for homecoming and finishing up stuff with stuco to be ready this weekend. we have so much more stuff to do this year with the new school and all, but its going to be really cool.
I am going to stay out of that part of your coversation.
School is going well. Settling in. It's much more demanding, believe it or not. I have four preps, three of which I have never taught before (I have taught French I). I also have to turn in my unit plans for each class to my principal, along with assessments. There's also Homework Hotline that I am supposed to call into every day saying what homework for what class and if there isn't any, say that too (I forget all the time and our principal makes random calls and leaves you a nice little voicemail if you forget). Plus, it's weird not having D next door and Malo a floor away, or Frau to send me emails throughout the day, or Hosner to just chat with. My smiely is on my cabinet, and the Ladies Lunch club still calls me from time to time, but I miss you guys and I miss my colleagues. At the same time, I LOVE my new colleagues. I have a nice group of girls that I hang out with. and of course, I LOVE the kids. We have a great time, but they have issues, that's for sure. And, I had my first bad day yesterday. I dont' mean bad day with the kids, but you guys remember, when I was just having a rotten day, you could just tell, and my kids could tell. They even said something. I was just tired, busy, I am never going to get everything done that I should...whew. Speaking of that... I need to go so I can get more work done.
auditions and callbacks for the play were this week, emily and stephanie both got a callback for the lead and i got a callback for a smaller part. its really exciting. we see the final cast list on thursday, ill let you know how it goes. the three of us are really excited but really nervous, especially with emily and stephanie going against each other.
which emily are we talking? Malo emailed, I knew you guys got call backs, but she won't share any more info. When will be play be so I can see if I can make it? Please tell me it's not until November...
well all three of us are in the play, so that is sweet. emily has the lead, stephanie has a smaller part and i have an even smaller part. mike is right about the dates, so you better be there.
When the controversy surrounding reading The Freedom Writers Diary was going on, I felt as though every time I mentioned it, I was giving a disclaimer when I spoke. So, a group of students made me my own "asterisks" in order to hold up when I talked. (which is when I finally learned how to spell it correctly too).
I believe we have now come to a point of understanding where my students know me well enough that asterisks are no longer needed.

im pretty sure its in november, like mid november, but im not sure. and we're talkin emily olrich.
